The Fight for Good

The Salvation Army is motivated by the love of God to tackle the biggest problems facing each community. With more than 7,000 centers of operation, the Army is uniquely positioned to provide year-round social services. For many clients, a warm bed or meal is just the beginning. The Salvation Army’s holistic services provide a hand up, not a handout.

Millions of Americans face incredible financial struggles and uphill battles to escape poverty.
• One surprise expense (like a car repair or medical bill) can mean the difference between affording rent or groceries.
• 15% of home renters are behind on housing payments and may face eviction.
• 32% of low-income individuals have battled feelings of depression.

The Army’s faith-based mission embraces that all people should be treated with dignity, and no one should be defined by their challenges or circumstances.

By replacing stigma with help, healing and hope, The Salvation Army empowers clients to concentrate on critical issues like physical and mental health.
